“ Chinatown Inn last standing Chinese restaurant in Pittsburgh Chinatown. When you walk in it has an Asian feel I remember when I was young with the leather booths, the color red throughout the restaurant and fish tanks. Staff was very nice and outfit in old Asian attire. We first try the Chinatown Pu Pu Platter and dumpling to try out the different appetizers. Our entree were Beef with Broccoli, the Happy Gathering, the House Special Duck and the Salt and Pepper fish. The food was decent but I found it was made more for non Chinese than actual Chinese. Totally understandable since we were the only Chinese outside of the staff in the restaurant and they probably don't get that many actual Chinese in the restaurant. But it was still a good experience. ”

“ I'm so glad this place is downtown! Downtown doesn't have a lot of variety when it comes to food and I'm glad there's a decent Chinese spot. Service and food is really fast and there was no wait on a Thursday night. The place is large and can handle large groups. We got the sweet and sour pork and the Szechuan chicken. It was pretty good! They came with rice and when you sit down, they also give you Chinese tea which is nostalgic for me. Definitely coming back to try other dishes since I know it's a lot of people's favorite spot downtown! I hear the lunch specials are great too. ”

“ Really like this place I will take pictures ext time. We enjoyed the food so much that I have picked up food to go twice and we wolfed it down Some notable dishes. If you like eggplant great dish, you pick your protein. We normally get the chicken and eggplant. The Mongolian beef is made with flank steak not the usual beef. We have had BBQ both time tender and tasty. Scallion pancakes, we fight over, the teriyaki chicken skewers also good, and the crab ragoons are a must try. We have not eaten in as this is near my office and on the way home, but nice inside and definitely a local place to try. Overall great solid Chinese food. If you are looking give em a try. “ Consistently really great food, short wait times for pick up, everything is always packed super nicely and carefully. Love all of their food. One of my favorite "American Chinese Food" places in the city! My favorites are the crab rangoons, general Tsos, fried rice, eggrolls, and their dumplings Definitely recommend! ”
